Easy warm up
A great way to warm up and start working on breath is to use humming. Lay the tip of your tongue down behind your bottom teeth and relax the face muscles. Hum lightly up and down first for several minutes and then go to your next warmup. If you feel tension in your face or neck you are humming too loudly or not breathing fully. If so stand with your feet three feet apart, bend your knees slightly and bend over rolling down as you hum. This will help you relax more and give you more breath as well. Never warm up at full volume. Always start easily and sing for fifteen minutes before increasing volume.
